Coaching is a topic we love on “Embracing Intensity,” and it is not hard to see why. Beautiful, Intense, Excitable women often find themselves in a bit of a pinch. How can you learn to be exactly who you are in a world that you feel too much for? How can you chase your dreams without getting burned out? Is it even possible to find a career and a passion that works with your Intensity, rather than against it? For many, the solution is simple: find a coach you gets you!
This week’s guest, Rikky Maas, has a life-giving message for you this week, one with hope and passion and a touch of wanderlust. Rikky’s path to coaching was one of self-discovery. Through extensive travel all over the world, to discovering how spiritual signs and forces influence her life, Rikky learned that the best, most authentic career she could have was to be a coach. Now, she is on a mission to help people like you discover their true passion and live a life worthy of their inner fire.

We all have a Big Idea. A dream that is bigger than a dream, and it just might actually work out. So where do you get your Big Ideas? Do you have a plan in place to make that happen? When push comes to shove, sometimes it takes something, or someone, to help us get our dreams into motion. For an Intense woman, (especially an intense mom), it can be much more daunting to put those ideas to work on your own. We need someone who gets it to encourage us on our adventure.
Aria Leighty is a glitter-loving Mother and Business owner who loves to connect and support other Moms with their Big Ideas. Aria knows a thing or two about controlling the chaos that we Intense Women can sometimes stir up for ourselves. From years of practice honing her fire, Aria has turned her own Big Ideas into the MOB Northwest, a group supporting the efforts of Business Savvy Moms that has been a huge success. Learn from Aria’s experience and be encouraged by her empathy and passion as she and Aurora talk about what it means to make it big!

Have you ever confused passion for drama? As an intense person, you may crave intensity in a partner, but when two intense people get together there can be challenges with meshing two strong personalities together.
Aurora found this to be true in her first relationship and assumed it was just a biproduct of two intense people getting together. She has since learned that it is possible to have intensity and passion in a relationship with minimal drama!

Growing up, we all looked up to some kind of role model: a teacher, a parent, a celebrity, or a mentor. What steps did they take to accomplish a goal? How did they get to where they are going? Sometimes, even in our adult lives, we need a role model—someone who has harnessed their intensity in a positive way and found success in their personal and professional life. This week’s guest on “Embracing Intensity” is Brittani Nelson, and she is without a doubt a role model for the Intense and Excitable woman.
What does it really look like to harness intensity in a constructive way? Brittani and Aurora chat this week about what a superpower intensity can be! Brittani is truly the Business Matchmaker with a focus on constructing a community, not just a network. In building her business, she used her intensity to start and grow her scope, tackle being a single mother, and engage in a new romantic relationship all at once! It seems like an impossible task, but tune in this week to see the simple, practical steps that Brittani uses to embrace her life and chase her dreams.

Do you ever feel disconnected, or out of touch with the rest of the world? Have you ever felt like there wasn’t a judgment-free listening ear around, or a space to allow your excitability to be what it was always meant to be? For the Over Excitable woman, it is easy to feel alienated. Simone de Hoogh, this week’s guest on Embracing Intensity, experienced that herself, since no one in the UK really “talks about” emotions, excitability, and Giftedness.
Simone gets what it means to be Over Excitable, and has learned throughout the years that embracing her inner fire means helping others understand their own. She knows that as we learn more and more about Over Excitability, the need for a safe space to share our experiences grows. It followed that she might just need to create one, and so she founded Powerwood, a camp for families with Over Excitable and Gifted children to come together without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. This week on Embracing Intensity, listen to Simone’s wisdom and experience caring for those she loves, and giving back to a community that needs her.

For the parent of an intensely gifted child (or for intensely gifted adults in general) finding a supportive community can seem like an impossible task. It’s a bit like an expedition into an uncertain wilderness. When a child is identified as gifted, many parents find themselves thrown into in unexplored territory without so much as a guide for the trip. Caitlin Fitzpatrick Curley found herself in that spot when her child entered Kindergarten. It was then that she became an unlikely homeschooler, and found she could embrace her own intensity by founding an online community for Homeschool parents.
In this week’s episode of Embracing Intensity, Aurora and Cait discuss challenges to overcome and triumphs to be had as the parents of Gifted children. As an Excitable woman herself, Cait knew that she could not successfully tackle the task on her own. Cait shares her journey as a homeschooling mother, and how that led her to create the Raising Poppies online community for other parents just like her. Listen to hear how the world is just a bit smaller than you might think!
